...perhaps I miss the old routine a bit much. This new one, while nice and cozy, makes only for a decent vacation. Yes, even despite the odd happenstances here and there. It is too...boring.

[He pauses. He's complaining. And he realizes he's turned the communicator without much thinking about it. He was past due for an update anyway, before he discovered for himself just what sort of energy the device packed, and had been thinking about it before he started in on the complaints of this place. Ah well.]

Boring. Listen to me--complaining like some sort of youngster who has nothing better than to get into trouble every day. I converse much too often with giovani here and start to reminiscence on my old lifestyle as if I could get away with what I used to.

[He sighs.] I am getting old. When you start saying 'I'm getting too old for this' it is well past time you are too old for...things.

...Ugh. Now I'm using circular arguments and boring unto death those silly enough to listen to these devices.

[...]

Though I can't help but to miss the action back home. Not just the routine... but the purpose. What purpose is there here?

[audio] if he could write it in pen, he would but what the hell is this keyboard & how is that easy?

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Well I don't very well do it all at once and one has to rest at some point in time.

This purpose lacks meaning as compared to the one I formally held. What, pray tell, is the point.

Giovanni is a stubborn Italian--I mean, father. B|

If you really want it drawn out that can be arranged as well.

I doubt if you're not from Earth, and you haven't heard of Italy while here, that then a further explanation can truly be had for you, ragazzo. So in other words: no.

[Text] {Tis not easy. Especially when he comes from a time of no keyboards}

[identity profile] ten-no-ryuu.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose you would be correct in that sense. Going with no rest with such a heavy workload would be detrimental to yourself and all those you come in contact with.

The point, I believe, is to survive long enough to either find a way home, or to be sent back by the scientists.

[audio] exxxactly. so he prefers something that at least is more personal than a nondescript letter

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a fool, and I'm not a boy. Hold your lecturing comments to yourself.

A pretty goal for a petty fool.

|D!

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
That so... Pretty generous of you. I'll think about it. Try to hold onto some of that righteous indignation while I do, hunh? Be disappointed if you lost it before I made up my mind.

Italy I can find. Whatever you're speaking could use some work by the way.

[identity profile] najawantsgold.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
[ Which only infuriates her more. So she's not going to turn off her communicator.

She'll SLAM it off.

This is going to be a looong week. ]

My apologies. Lecturing you was not my intention.

Perhaps I am a fool. Who is to say otherwise?

^^'

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt you will have time for disappointment, boy.

Non la presunzione di dirmi come parlare la mia lingua. Tu non sai nulla. It happens to be the native language of Italia--which, by the way, is the proper name of the country--and therefore more accurate than this sniveling Inglese.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Almasy, would you mind doing us all a favor and learning some manners?

[ Because he is facepalming a lot right now. ]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
[He takes a moment to calm his voice. Respect begets respect.]

It is something to keep the innocent hopeful, and happy. That I will not take away from them--however, I am not naive and have no need for the disillusionment of hope.

I need a purpose; I need my profession back. A reason to protect the innocent from the corrupt.

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Dunno about that... might be feeling some of it already.

Unhunh. We don't have it in my world, can't say I really care.

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
[He just laughs.]

I think you know the answer to that. Friend of yours?

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Then. fight. me.

You don't care about much of anything, do you?

[Text]

[identity profile] ten-no-ryuu.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone is in need of hope, at one time or another. ...Or so I've been told.

With the exception of the scientists, there do not seem to be any truly corrupt in this city as of yet. Arrogant and greedy, yes. Violent as well; but corruption has yet to make a true appearence. Would having your true purpose back be truly worth the innocence of those affected?

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
Obviously not, then.

"Friend" would be a vast understatement, actually. You would do well to treat him with respect.

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
What's going to make it worth my time?

I care about what's important. This? This ain't worth a damn thing. You want my time you better give me a hell of a lot more than this, old man.

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
Eald'narche you've known me going on three months now.

You really think that's gonna happen?

[audio]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
[He sighs.] And so I would tell anyone else as well.

It would not affect anyone else, if you must know. It has always been my job to keep it from the people and continue to ascertain their natural freedom in life. If anything, these scientists are the equivalent of my true enemy in my world... but I cannot use my skills so easily or properly here as I would like. They do not...translate so well, in a manner of speaking.

And the war from my world is fought in the shadows where the common people are unaware. So much is different.

But for your question there is no answer is my point. Only a handful are affected when I and my Brothers keep "them" at bay--and they dare not risk coming out as they once did with us at their very throats and the people no longer towards their favor.

[Aaand...he's said too much. He goes suddenly unnaturally quiet.]

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Don't test my patience, doppelganger.

[ Is this Eald being...protective? Defensive? Maybe both? Whichever one, he sounds quite angry. ]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
How am I to know? What would make it worth your time?

[He snorts.] Old enough to teach you more than one lesson, boy. All my respect in Firenze is not simply given for nothing--it has been well earned.

[Text]

[identity profile] ten-no-ryuu.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh? Curious as you've made him, Giovanni, he won't ask.] Be it in the shadows or in front of the populace, so long as the people are kept safe from major harm, then the battle is won. And it would seem the majority of the people of Discedo would join you in striking down the scientists, should they ever be found.

If only the war in any world could be won as simply as saying that.

And I can use the right icon l-lol...

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Getting called 'boy' by Giovanni isn't exactly the highlight of Seifer's day. Adding 'doppelganger' into it isn't going to help. And even though he hasn't pushed it and has no plans to, he's not exactly happy with you right now Eald'narche. So there's silence for a moment. When Seifer does speak he's actually pretty calm.]

And you'll do what? Run away? Threaten me with your powers when your chip is removed? I ain't no doppelganger Eald'narche. Don't even kid yourself. If me and the other Seifer were even an inch alike you'd know you can't buy anyone's respect with me.

The other Seifer was nice. Me? You don't know a thing. Your friend wants my respect he'll get it when he gives me something to respect. Same as you. Same as everyone. No exceptions.

You get it this time or do I need to explain it again?

...Not if we stop. Not if we do not weed them out quicker; not if we keep dwindling in number faster. ...Not if we cannot figure out their plans fast enough.

I would gladly give my life if it meant truly winning a war that would bring real peace.

[identity profile] inyourgarden.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
So far I ain't seeing it. You want my time you can get off your high horse and get back to reality. Right now you're just another moron who's too in love with himself to be worth a thing to me. Sure, it's a good laugh, but you can't believe I'd take you seriously.

Well?

yay for icons! /o/

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-05-26 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
[ There's a frustrated growl of sorts. Geez, hit him where it hurts why don't you. ]

...no. I wouldn't sink to your level. And again, Giovanni is more than just any old friend of mine.

Oh, I know. And I also happen to have a very, very low tolerance for those with your level of arrogance. One of these days, you'll get yourself hurt or killed for making the mistake of not knowing your place, you pathetic excuse for a sentient being.
