[He turns on the communicator but considers for a moment before speaking up.]

...How many people here are interested in learning Italian?

O'...Ye're teachin' noo, ar' ye? Ah'm mostlieh fluent maeself, boot ef ye need ae hand en teachin', ah woul' nae mind. Et's ae guid idea tae combine resources...Thoo', perhaps ye'd prefer natives givin' th' lessons, in which case ah dinna think th' Archbishop woul' mind sae mooch ef ah volunteered 'im.

[Giovanni chuckles softly. He's of the mind that the Archbishop would in fact mind but maybe he's doing a little bit of stereotyping on the character of said Archbishop.]

I am considering it, yes. I have a few students that asked but I am beginning to grow neglective--there are a handful of them and each I agreed to individually. I figure this will get more done.

Aye, mooch easier, though ye ken, ef ye e'er need any help we'd be all too happieh tae assist.

[Giovanni wouldn't be all that far off . . . Though, he was proud of his culture, and would help preserve it if given the right motives. As long as there were no children, that is.]

Et's ae beautiful language. Be ae shame nae tae hear et often...Reallieh, et makes mae lang fer Rome.

I will keep that in mind once I see how many reply. [But really your accent is atrocious. You might just confuse them in two languages. :|]

Roma... I have been there a few times. My patron has assets down there. It is...unique.

Aye. Ah'll ask aroun' too, ef ye like. Ah'm sure thaer's ae number who would luv' tae learn.

[You might be surprised. Sure, he still has a little bit of a torque on the vowels, but for the most part the other clergymen find him endearing.]

Et moos' certainlieh es...

...Probably more than take notice of my asking.

[Giovanni can't hate him for it, but he's also not a clergyman so he doesn't have to pretend to like it either. In fact, he probably thinks Anderson only know it because he's clergy--which are not Giovanni's most fond men in the world.]

Heh. Ye're an interestin' man, Giovanni. Ah like ye. Boot dinna doubt yer own accountability. Soomtimes th' best way tae make yerself heard es tae go tae thaem, rather thaen waitin' fer thaem tae coom tae ye.

Grazie, Padre. Undoubtedly you are right. But this is not banking and I am unaccustomed to this sort of thing.

[He still knows almost next to nothing about this man other than his name. In truth, Giovanni was something of an enigma. Yet, if nothing else, he was a good judge of character.]

Non preoccuparsi, non è alcuna difficoltà a tutto.

["Don't worry. It's no trouble at all."]
