[He turns on the communicator but considers for a moment before speaking up.]

...How many people here are interested in learning Italian?

O'...Ye're teachin' noo, ar' ye? Ah'm mostlieh fluent maeself, boot ef ye need ae hand en teachin', ah woul' nae mind. Et's ae guid idea tae combine resources...Thoo', perhaps ye'd prefer natives givin' th' lessons, in which case ah dinna think th' Archbishop woul' mind sae mooch ef ah volunteered 'im.

[Giovanni chuckles softly. He's of the mind that the Archbishop would in fact mind but maybe he's doing a little bit of stereotyping on the character of said Archbishop.]

I am considering it, yes. I have a few students that asked but I am beginning to grow neglective--there are a handful of them and each I agreed to individually. I figure this will get more done.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well, your son was absolutely no help at all, and his other "teacher" went nuts and attacked someone, soooo... ]

I am.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
[He chuckles.] You just want to know what I call you.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Huh?

[ He doesn't recall mentioning that to you! ]

Wait, how do you know about...?

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Know about...?

[He was teasing you. What are you talking about?]

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
About why I wanted to learn Italian!

[ That may be true, but he doesn't know that! ]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
So that is the reason why you want to learn my language.

[Leave it to the Assassin to figure out the secret without necessarily even meaning to.]

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wait a minute...you mean you didn't know?

[ WHAT. PLAN IS FAIL?! ]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
I was teasing you. It was a good guess though.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
...heh. You never cease to amaze me with that talent of yours. But yes, it was a very good guess.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
It comes naturally. Mostly.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. Maybe I could teach you some Zilart.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
It would not be unwelcome.

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
Then I suppose it is settled, then? You teach me some Italian, I teach you some Zilart.

[ Granted, Eald'narche's native language is kind of a...DEAD language, but that won't be stopping him from teaching what's still there. ]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Accepted.

Allow me to see how this works out and I will tell you when and where as the details are fleshed out. [See above thread for explanation.]

[identity profile] crystal-eyed.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
Very well. In the meantime, I have my own matters to attend to. [ Like a Kaitou X hunt. ]

Do you not already?

[Locked, Italian]

[identity profile] techoutmystaff.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I definitely need more practice!

[Locked, Italian]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[He chuckles.] That is fine.

I will only speak to you in Italiano from here on then.

[Voice]

[identity profile] sanctus-cineris.livejournal.com 2010-06-17 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Aye, mooch easier, though ye ken, ef ye e'er need any help we'd be all too happieh tae assist.

[Giovanni wouldn't be all that far off . . . Though, he was proud of his culture, and would help preserve it if given the right motives. As long as there were no children, that is.]

Et's ae beautiful language. Be ae shame nae tae hear et often...Reallieh, et makes mae lang fer Rome.

[Oh boy. But Don likes this!]

That sounds great. Immersion is the best way to learn. Thanks, Mr. Auditore!

[... he still can't help but say "Mr. Auditore" in English. Sorry!]

You're welcome.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
I will keep that in mind once I see how many reply. [But really your accent is atrocious. You might just confuse them in two languages. :|]

Roma... I have been there a few times. My patron has assets down there. It is...unique.

[Voice]

[identity profile] sanctus-cineris.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Aye. Ah'll ask aroun' too, ef ye like. Ah'm sure thaer's ae number who would luv' tae learn.

[You might be surprised. Sure, he still has a little bit of a torque on the vowels, but for the most part the other clergymen find him endearing.]

Et moos' certainlieh es...

[Voice]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
...Probably more than take notice of my asking.

[Giovanni can't hate him for it, but he's also not a clergyman so he doesn't have to pretend to like it either. In fact, he probably thinks Anderson only know it because he's clergy--which are not Giovanni's most fond men in the world.]

[Voice]

[identity profile] sanctus-cineris.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Ye're an interestin' man, Giovanni. Ah like ye. Boot dinna doubt yer own accountability. Soomtimes th' best way tae make yerself heard es tae go tae thaem, rather thaen waitin' fer thaem tae coom tae ye.

[Voice]

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Grazie, Padre. Undoubtedly you are right. But this is not banking and I am unaccustomed to this sort of thing.

[identity profile] sanctus-cineris.livejournal.com 2010-06-25 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[He still knows almost next to nothing about this man other than his name. In truth, Giovanni was something of an enigma. Yet, if nothing else, he was a good judge of character.]

Non preoccuparsi, non è alcuna difficoltà a tutto.

["Don't worry. It's no trouble at all."]
