I'm going to disappear for a day or two. I don't want anyone to get worried or anything when it happens, or start wondering. And just to let people I see on a daily basis know that I won't be around to help out with the usual things. Call it a break or vacation ~~though that's not entirely accurate~~ if you really must call it something. I'll see you all shortly as I don't plan or desire to be gone very long, and I'll get back to work as soon as possible. If you need me I'll be keeping track of things through this device so ...don't do anything too stupid while I'm away. [This means you Eald.] Let me know if I'm needed.

I thought since I'll be away one or both of you could drop by the Inventory for the next few days. Moa could use the company and I know you're good with people.

The Inventory? Of course, I would be more than happy to assist Moa in any way she needs.

Just to the hospital. [He pauses while he considers the phrasing of his next words.] It's nothing to worry about, don't worry. If it goes well I'll have you do the same, and Federico too. [He smiles faintly.] I'm just getting rid of that 'gift' the scientists give us upon our arrival.

The chip...[Pause. He's happy, really. But the chip coming out means someone will be cutting his father open somewhere and this place is full of what Ezio considers to be idiots. Does he want idiots working on his father?]

You're sure it will be safe?

I am confident enough to try it.

[He pauses, looks straight at Ezio.]

Would you like to be there?

Then that is enough for me.

[He swallows and is silent for a moment.]

Yes, but...I will not leave the all the work to Federico. You will be back soon, right?

As soon as possible.

We'll await your return soon then.

[There's a moment's hesitation then Ezio steps forward to wrap his arms around Giovanni's shoulders in a brief hug.]

[He returns the hug genuinely and somehow manages not to let it linger. It doesn't want to give the wrong impression just before going to get himself chopped open. He steps back after a moment and smiles.]

I'll see you soon.

[He nods with a small smile, standing a little taller trying to give the impression that he had everything in complete control.]

[ He sees what you did thar, Gio. He speaks somewhat passively, perhaps annoyed. ]

Don't worry, I'll behave myself.

[Totally innocent. He could have meant a ton of people. Really.]

That's a relief. Now if only I could get the same promise out of my own children.

Ezio has already agreed to do as I ask--and he'll be taking you with him. It isn't much so do not worry. Just don't get into any trouble. [He smirks back.] Your brother is in charge while I'm away.

Trouble? Aha, papa, why would Ezio and I ever get in trouble? [You know, the doctors back home just saw them and rubbed their hands together in glee. After shaking their heads and groaning at the mischief the two got into always.]

Attesa! Ezio is in charge? [His face falls, oh wicked papa. But he won't whine, too much.] You know he'll enjoy that far too much.

Perhaps. But I trust his expertise right now. He has been here much longer.

Oh, and it's not I you will have to worry about if you do get in trouble where you're going. I'll let Moa decide your punishment if you upset her. [Dark smile is go.]

[He'll just be wincing slightly. A woman hm? Women could be terrible when it came to deciding such fates!] I doubt it will come to any punishment, papa. I'll be on my best behavior of course.

I'd think of doing nothing but treating her well. [And maybe flirt with her... a little.]

[He eyes you seriously for a second but then let's it go and makes to move away to get to...whatever he does during the day.

As for that last...she's younger than you but thinks everyone in this family is cute so you better play nice and not break her heart or Papa will flay you alive. :| ]
