[This is for anyone who would know (family, Kadaj, Eald, Chloe?, anyone who would try to keep up with him) that by now he's been found and drug back to the hospital (by Kadaj) to get better. He's still horribly sick but there isn't much of a way for him to keep people away other than griping their ears out (when he isn't coughing out a lung) since he's bedridden. He is definitely upset that he cannot keep up with what is happening outside and being sick isn't fun so he's not in the best of moods, not even remotely. But if you want to bug him or update him on what is happening he'll receive you (not that he has a choice). He'd really like it if someone did that last suggestion.]

Date: 2010-09-10 01:03 am (UTC)[Kadaj leans against the wall with his arms crossed before he enters and takes a seat next to the bed, expression unreadable. He knows Giovanni is in no shape to leave. At least this is a distraction.]
I bet you hate being here. I hate it too. But first you need a drink.

Date: 2010-09-10 03:59 am (UTC)It is nearly impossible for me to keep up-- [he pauses to cough lightly] I do not like being out of the loop.
[If Lorenzo were here there'd be irony to pay.]

Date: 2010-09-12 01:43 am (UTC)It will affect me sooner or later. I would rather have knowledge of it ahead of time instead of playing 'catch-up'.

Date: 2010-09-12 03:47 am (UTC)Escorting the sick and stuff. Same stuff that's always done.

Date: 2010-09-13 02:05 am (UTC)That is all well and fine. I mean with the rest of it. Or do you even know? [A little taunting to get you to do better than that?]

Date: 2010-09-13 02:20 am (UTC)It's not really in my place to know. If they were kidnapped, it's their own fault for being stupid enough to give someone that chance. [A shrug, but he adds.] I guess they're being rescued by someone who wants to be a hero.

Date: 2010-09-10 01:14 am (UTC)He nearly missed it. Eald'narche doubled back to one of the rooms, giving it a quick scan over again. Yes, this had to be the one. Carefully, he pushed open the door, peeking in. ]
Giovanni...?

Date: 2010-09-10 04:38 am (UTC)Well, at least you're still alive.
[ Eald'narche steps in, pushing the door closed behind him and daring to get a little bit closer. ]
You gave me quite a start, hiding like that. With all the madness that's cropped up, I was worried you wouldn't make it through whatever's been going on.

Date: 2010-09-10 11:09 pm (UTC)[ He pauses for a moment, a far more serious expression falling upon his face before he continues. ]
You've heard about the problems outside, haven't you? About those people being kidnapped...

Date: 2010-09-10 11:19 pm (UTC)You try keeping up when you feel like you're dying.
What is going on?

Date: 2010-09-10 11:30 pm (UTC)Don't strain yourself, Giovanni.
[ Sigh...this isn't going to end well, is it. ]
Several people have been kidnapped, and the abductor is demanding a vaccine in exchange for their safe return. Well...relatively safe. According to my sources, he's the one that's been spreading this illness around, so you can thank him that you're in the shape you're in.
To make matters worse, I'm not sure any of us even have this vaccine, unless you count the scientists, and we all know how well they listen to us. I'd be heading out to rescue the hostages myself, but I have my hands full enough as it is here in the city without this mess going on.

Date: 2010-09-10 11:50 pm (UTC)I told him he could not get what he wanted done on his own. Why he did not have the sensibility to-- [He cuts himself off with a violent shake of the head. He is clearly upset but articulating his words isn't getting anything done.] And the retaliation? What are we doing in return?

Date: 2010-09-10 10:13 pm (UTC)None of that stopped Ezio from rounding up his brother and leading the way to the hospital. He nods once reassuringly to Federico before stepping confidently into their father's room.]
Padre? Are you awake?
no subject
Date: 2010-09-10 10:30 pm (UTC)But they soon find where their father is and standing beside his brother, if not placing his arm on Ezio's shoulder to lean a bit against him, he gives his father a chiding look. Worried about him, yes, but if he was still alive, he had faith his father would be fine. Stubborn old man he was.]
If he is awake, I hope he can hear how much worry he put us through! [Said in a teasing tone, but it was the truth. Among the nonsense going on with Knowlton, they had to worry about their father possibly dying all alone out there, since he was too stubborn to let them come find him. Well, too bad now. They were here, and they weren't leaving.]

Date: 2010-09-10 10:57 pm (UTC)It is only fitting after all of the worrying times the two of you have forced me to live through with all your antics over the years.

Date: 2010-09-11 02:47 am (UTC)[His tone is playful like his brother's and with a nod he moves forward to get out of the doorway and stand next to his father's bedside. Ezio remains silent for longer than a simple pause, eyes scanning over Giovanni critically as if he would be able to see the sickness either leaving or still clinging to his body.
He was no doctor, far from it actually, but short of actually reaching out to feel him over physically (which would do Ezio no good, again he was barely able to patch himself up after a nasty fight let alone heal the sick) there was no sign of how well their father was doing. If he voiced his concern he risked frustrating his father, but then again if he didn't ask the though would drive him mad.]
...How are you feeling?
no subject
Date: 2010-09-11 03:06 am (UTC)[A nudge, before Ezio wanders further into the room. Federico of course follows, standing near, and his own eyes are inspecting their father. It's obvious Giovanni is still not feeling well, anyone could tell that, but how well he's off really? Well, he and Ezio both had no idea. With his own small cold getting better, he could only hope that their father would fair the same. And soon.
He would have asked how he was doing, but Ezio beat him to it.]

Date: 2010-09-11 04:13 am (UTC)Better.
[Not quite a line anymore than it was entirely true. He felt miserable but he wasn't getting any worse; and best of all whatever he was being given at the least helped suppress his cough combined with his own will. But he still felt horrible.
Other than that everything just...was. He'd get over it, eventually; till then, he was just frustrated and there was nothing to be done about it.]
I need to track this thread or something because I fail!
Date: 2010-09-13 05:55 am (UTC)Despite all his new experience and the advantage of years, Ezio finds himself looking to Federico, forever his older brother in his own mind, for guidance expression imploring. 'What do I say? What do we do?'
/pat pat
Date: 2010-09-14 04:38 am (UTC)Better, but not yet well. [He places a hand on the side of the bed, tilting his head a bit looking down at his father.]
Since you'll be resting up, is there anything we can do, papa? [He grins a little.] Besides get out of your hair. You kept us away before, we need to at least see you for a few moments, before you shoo us away, no?
someone let me know if I get too cheesy. /headdesks ...and don't ask about the icon IDEK
From:I think there is no "too cheesy" indicator with the Auditores.
From:Never. Nothing is ever too cheesy for them.
