[Giovanni doesn't seem to be paying attention to the device when it first comes on. It can be noted that instead of his usual white Assassin's garb he is wearing a brown doublet fashioned in a common 15th century style. The outfit is well tailored for the time though emphasizing Giovanni's status as a noble back home. It seems to be what he got from the random item appearance from the other day.

After a moment Giovanni turns to the device. Whatever he was attending to remains off-camera.]

...I suppose the phrase "never look a gift-horse in the mouth" is appropriate these days, no? Though as with everyone else it seems to invite more curiosity and questions concerning our 'generous hosts' than I would like to admit.

At least I have more to keep warm with now, I suppose.

Ezio...? [He pauses and then thinks better of whatever it was he was thinking of saying. He waves a hand dismissively in the air before reaching forward and shutting off the device.]

And why one out of so many? The scientists be damned.

[He'll meet Ezio outside--lead him there, tell him where to meet; either way--and show him what he should have revealed a long time ago: his skills. He may not have much to teach anymore, but he can still be honest. And who knows? Maybe the old dog knows a trick or two that his son has not learned yet...]

[This greatly impresses but yet also irks Ezio. It has become expected in his mind that his father must have various impressive skills and yet there is still a part of him that wonders why his father never mentioned anything to him? Did he not trust him?]

[Trust was never an issue Ezio--he just wanted you and your brothers, and sister, to live as careful as possible for at least a little while. He meant to tell you, he truly did, but he never got that chance before--

[Ezio is a little surprised to find himself actually a bit winded when he catches up to his father. He had inklings that the man was skilled but he had not seen them in practice.

He sorely wished it had been Giovanni to teach him the ways of the Assassin, not Mario.

He grins impishly at the older man as he approaches.]

Care to show me your moves padre? I promise I will go easy on you to start with.

[Giovanni can't help but to smirk at Ezio's line. In truth he wonders if he can keep up with the younger man, but a part of him knows that with his longer experience comes greater knowledge. And that knowledge could be turned into a skill Ezio might not have from his lesser experience.

Either way, he comes off very confident in his abilities from the look of things.]

Oh, is that how it will be? Careful you don't handicap yourself too much, Ezio, and embarrass yourself in front of your ailing father.
