[Giovanni doesn't seem to be paying attention to the device when it first comes on. It can be noted that instead of his usual white Assassin's garb he is wearing a brown doublet fashioned in a common 15th century style. The outfit is well tailored for the time though emphasizing Giovanni's status as a noble back home. It seems to be what he got from the random item appearance from the other day.

After a moment Giovanni turns to the device. Whatever he was attending to remains off-camera.]

...I suppose the phrase "never look a gift-horse in the mouth" is appropriate these days, no? Though as with everyone else it seems to invite more curiosity and questions concerning our 'generous hosts' than I would like to admit.

At least I have more to keep warm with now, I suppose.

Ezio...? [He pauses and then thinks better of whatever it was he was thinking of saying. He waves a hand dismissively in the air before reaching forward and shutting off the device.]

[[There is also a golden eagle flying on a red and white background--the Auditore sigil--on the main doorway inside the apartment. The banner was the second "gift." Ezio is free to notice this addition to the apartment decor.]]

I'm sorry. I should have said something.

... It's just that I've never seen clothes that looked like that before.

It is fine.

Are they truly that foreign? I suppose so. Time and place dictates a lot, and we are all from scattered worlds. They are usual where I am from.

Thank you, mister.

Maybe, a little. But everyone is from different places, and I'm used to seeing and learning about many things in Discedo. ...It kind of reminds me of the clothing someone had before. [...] Larsa. He was from the same world as Basch.

They're both gone now.

I am sorry. Perhaps they are home.

It's okay. I'm just glad that I can remember them.

My big brother said that feeling is important here.

As it is everywhere. It is what makes us us, and in times or places like these... what keeps us us.

I would chance to say that is what your brother truly meant by his words. But, I could not say of course nor is it my right.

It still sounds like something he would say.

You seem nice, mister. What is your name?

I'm Nill.

[A pause falls between her last message and the next. The name 'Giovanni' pings her in a strange way, but... not in the way you would think.]

A pleasure to meet you too.

You're name is long just like Alessandro's...

[Utterly clueless and not concerned really. Stuff happens, it takes time to make replies, yadayadayada]

His full name? Undoubtedly. We are from the same country... more or less. "Da Firenze" actually simply means "from Firenze." It is the city I hail from. The Romans called it Florentia I believe.

I think so.

You are? ...and you can tell that just by looking at each other's names?

[Silly girl. He's the Pope.]

That's a pretty name for a city.

It is an Italiano name, as is his sister's. I also know he is from Roma--or Rome--which is in Italia.

Thank you. It roughly means "fortune" in the old tongue. It is truly a treasure onto itself. [It's Florence. He's allowed to brag about it all day, really. |3 ]
