Freddo. E 'così molto freddo. Troppo freddo diritto di essere al di fuori adesso. Questa è follia.

[So cold and yet still he is outside. He didn't manage to catch the blizzard warning unfortunately. He's near the greenhouse, still keeping an eye out, and just generally doing the only thing he knows--watch over the people. Keep them safe if at all possible. And do good whenever possible.

But boy is it cold out.

He'll probably end up inside the greenhouse once the storm hits, and get stuck there for a day or two. Or, whatever. For now he's just quietly complaining to himself while huddled up in his whites and over-cloak.]

...very cold outside. I don't recommend...being out...right now. [One can almost hear his teeth chattering, but he's got more control than that.] This is foolish. Io sono uno stupido.

[[Cold. It is so very cold. Too cold to be outside right now. This is madness. / I am a fool.]]

If you just called yourself stupid, I'd have to agree. It's cold enough to suffer frostbite if you're not careful.

Heh, all right. I think even some of my friends here with fur would have problems with this weather....

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Some time noticeably later] ...I'll be in the greenhouse if anyone needs me.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Minato sounds faintly relieved.]

Good. Stay warm, all right? I've still got some turtle friends to worry about.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
[And Giovanni curious and amused.]

Turtles?

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Minato laughs a bit.]

Teenage, even. There's a lot of people who have traits similar to animals, but walk and talk like humans. And well, they're reptiles, so they can't keep themselves warm... I've been worried about them. I think they're going to move into my apartment complex, so it should be better after then.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
I have met a few animal residents of intelligent mean, and even one with an...interesting...way of speech. But not any with a human-animal hybrid appearance. [slight pause] Reptiles... they like to lay in the sun... that is for heat then, I would guess. It never much occurred to me that the cold affected them any more than the rest. It will be good for your friends to get to the warmer enclosure.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, they don't look that human--they just walk and talk like them. ... Although some don't look like the animals they're closest to. One of my friends is a pink hedgehog, for instance. And interesting in what way? Wait.. was he a hawk, by any chance?

Yes, I'll be helping them get there as soon as they're ready. It's the same with Amphibians, like frogs or geckos, or even fish. They're "cold-blooded" because their hearts work a bit differently than ours, among other things.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, the hawk. He did not speak aloud.

Ah. I would not know much about that, nor ever gone about researching the like. Not exactly pertinent.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Ah! I'm glad he found you. You said you had some hawking experience, so I mentioned you.

Mmm, I only know because I have a summoning contract with toads and frogs. Some of them are stories tall, but.. the smaller ones are susceptible to the cold. You have to know when it's safe to ask for their help. And my sensei's friend--back when they were still friends--can summon snakes.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
I met him the day he arrived, I think, but have not spoken much to him since actually.

. . .

[Just...silence.]

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
It's too bad. He seems like a smart guy. And well adjusted, all things considering.

[Just... lots of laughter. Oh, he was expecting that reaction!] Yeah, it's pretty weird, huh? But it's saved my village and I more than once, and the toads I work with are great! And most can talk, but they look more like regular toads.

[identity profile] betrayedblade.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
My impression of him as well. It is a little hard to keep up with everyone all the time. Even with these devices.

That is...very strange from my point of view.

[identity profile] foxtamer.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That is true. Especially the more friends you make.

... Actually it's pretty strange from my view as well. Took some getting used to, that's for sure.
