[From the sound of things when the device clicks on quite suddenly in the middle of a conversation it would be more or less apparent the post is accidental. There's also just an empty room when it first settles on an image, apparently having just been set down on a table or countertop. The first voice is not Giovanni's, and is a rather heated tone.]
--l'inferno è accaduto!? Lei non ha nemmeno tentato di avvertire me! Ho pensato - pensavo di aver perso tutti voi di nuovo.
[As the voice suddenly dips into a more quiet and desperate octave, a man in white darts across the camera; its impossible to tell father from son without seeing the face beneath the hood but one can probably guess. In the peripheral view of the camera that is one second on again, one second off again from what the recorder can visually pick up the one assassin embraces the other. Father comforting son.]
Mi dispiace, mio figlio. Non avevo intenzione...
Lo so, lo so.
[Silence. The original white robed assassin takes a step back and is clearly in the shot from here on out.]
Non potevo tornare a casa. Per questo mi dispiace. Se solo si verificare i dispositivi più spesso avrei--
Sì, sì, ho capito.
Ho fatto quello che potevo. Hai ricevuto una visita dal Fratello?
Sì...
[At this point in time someone has glanced back and noticed his mistake. He does not even scowl but simply walks calmly towards the device and set his hand upon it. The conversation continues in darkness but after a moment the hand finally finds what it is subtly looking for and shuts the device completely off.]
[[Ezio: --the hell happened!? You didn't even try to warn me! I thought - I thought I had lost you all over again.
Giovanni: I am sorry, my son. I did not mean...
Ezio: I know, I know.
Giovanni: I could not get back to the apartment. For that I am sorry. If only you would check the devices more often I would have--
Ezio: --Yes, yes, I get it.
Giovanni: I did what I could. Did you get a visit from the Brother?
Ezio: Yes...
Mun note: Done completely with permission of Ezio's mun. Here's to hoping she gets her laptop fixed soon. :3]]

Date: 2010-02-14 11:06 pm (UTC)It's good to hear that Ezio is doing well and... awfully spirited. I haven't spoken to him an a while.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:07 am (UTC)He needs to learn the value of these devices. But... well. [pause] He's fine. I think he was just miserable this past week. I cannot blame him for that.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:32 am (UTC)I didn't always pay attention to these much at first, not until I found myself being often needed by my friends.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:37 am (UTC)Ezio should know better. It is a valuable piece of information on the go.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:47 am (UTC)Hmm... Perhaps his device is doing something to frustrate him? They don't always cooperate.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:51 am (UTC)Possibly. It's just as likely that he's...misplaced it, as well.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:56 am (UTC)... But the part about misplacing something gets a laugh out of Minato.]
That makes him sound like my son! Naruto was always misplacing things... Although he never misplaced an explosive tag in a cake like I did.

Date: 2010-02-15 02:04 am (UTC)I'm a very bad cook.
[He almost sounds proud of it.]
But I am slowly improving. Very slowly.

Date: 2010-02-15 02:51 am (UTC)... ... Oh! You don't know what a brownie is!
[It dawns on him. You could almost see the light bulb coming on, there.]

Date: 2010-02-15 03:06 am (UTC)It's a bit like cake, but fluffier, and usually chocolate, hence the 'brown' part.
[A beat, in which Minato is thinking.]
... Which reminds me. Do you know how incredibly difficult it is to keep all the different types of Italian pasta straight? Italia-- [Yes, he adopted the proper way of saying it; Minato tends to absorb things when he can.]--tried teaching me once, and it made my head spin!

Date: 2010-02-15 03:24 am (UTC)Agreed; even my own world's different types of noodles give me trouble! My wife had to rescue me the one time she told me to pick out a certain type of noodle in another part of the store. I just stood there staring at the shelves for about five minutes until she came, picked up the soba noodles, and then led me out by the wrist.
... I'd usually be embarrassed about that sort of thing, but she found it cute.
I'm also pretty sure it made her entire month.... Wives are very understanding of us men, are they not?[Yeah, he misses her. Saying the memory out loud almost makes him relive it for a moment.]
